Energy Audit is the process of achieving the above by measuring how much energy is consumed and develop a plan to make it more energy efficient 3 Energy Efficient electronic appliances Appliances  that offer savings on energy bills without sacrificing performance, features, and comfort.  4 Lighting - CFL, LED etc Unlike conventional Incandescent bulbs, CFL(Compact fluorescent bulbs) and LED (light emitting diodes) bulbs last ten times longer and takes one fourth of the energy and hence are the unofficial mascot of home energy efficiency 5 Insulation Insulation is any material that prevents the transfer of heat, cold, sound, electricity, and other forms of energy; good insulation is an important part of energy-efficient environment 6 Green Buildings & Houses Green construction is energy and water efficient, has good indoor air quality, uses environmentally sustainable materials/sources, utilizes some form of renewable energy and also uses the building in a sustainable manner 7 Smart Grids Electricity networks that can intelligently integrate the behavior and actions of all users connected to it to control appliances at consumers' homes; this could save energy, reduce costs and increase reliability and transparency 8 Motion Sensors Is a switch that responds when it senses movement of any sort.
