Sector which defines Environment friendly agriculture, non Genetically modified food and plantation activity
It primarily consists of following subsectors:
1 Eco Farming / Gardening : Ecologically appropriate agriculture which includes forestry, farming and fishery activities that require careful management of natural resources. By adopting these activities, and with the use of appropriate technology, people obtain social, economic and spiritual benefits from natural resources, while conserving and replenishing these resources.
2 Natural fertilizer : Substance derived from animal or vegetable waste or minerals occurring in nature, added to soil to increase its fertility. It is a key ingredient in organic farming
3 Natural pesticides : Any natural and non-synthetic, non-chemical produced by a plant to ward off insects, fungi, and other predators
4 Organic Seeds/Food : Organic seeds are seeds which have been produced entirely through organic practices by a certified organic operation and do not constitute genetically modification and genetically engineering
5 Irrigation : Providing water to land to assist in the production of crops.
6 Plantation : A usually large farm or estate on which crops are raised, often by resident workers for commercial purposes in distant markets, rather than for local consumption
